Rather than waiting for a response, I've decided to take the initiative and nag all the people who had contacts to get these pieces. I've made a breakthrough today and got a hold of Carlos.:biggrin: :smile: Production will begin in 2-3 weeks, but maybe sooner depending on sign-up.

NOTE: Carlos has extensive experience with fiberglass and has produced side skirts and fenders of his own. He is currently also working on his own version of a widebody kit.

Please sign up to be on the list for this group buy. Prices are non-negotiable and are already cheap considering I have looked all over to find a person to produce this part. I've gotten in touch with Carlos, and although he is busy and working with other projects, I've convinced him to produce this part for us at his original asking price. The price for the NSX-R replica Diffusor made from fiberglass with a carbon fiber overlay will be determined on the number people who sign up and interest. The part will work with the 02 center piece being sold here.

For those of you with oversized dual tips on a 91-01 and those of you who haven't made a move to the 02 style valence this is your only chance as once this batch is made, who knows when the next one will be available.

Are you saying the colored piece that runs under the bumper like the picture below, ie, basicaly a direct replacement for the 02 rear valence, with the mesh, etc... If not, which part of the rear valence?

Yes they are like the picture above but they will attach onto the original 91-01 valence. A factory 02 valence runs about 625, this is a cheaper alternative and also a solution for those of you who have oversized dual tips; the factory OEM 02 valence won't work with dual oversized tips.

However, they do come in seperate pieces rather than one complete piece like the actual 02 valence: divided up into spats and the centerpiece, much like the Kite rear valence kit in redshift's thread.

Any pics? In Redshift's post, someone was saying it'd be 400 for the spats and rear valence. Is that possible? Also, I'm asusming that the price doesn't include paint, right? What color is the material?

Yes it will be 400 if you buy both as a set. Material is Fiberglass primered. You must paint it yourself.

If it fits on your car now with the pre 02 style valence then it will fit. Carlos, the person who is making this, has an NSX also to testfit this part.

I have no financial interest in this matter whatsover; I just want the centerpiece badly and a NSX R style diffusor that will work with this 02 style valence.

Lets sign up and give Carlos some motivation to get started ASAP.:biggrin: No financial commitment is needed. I will be the first to pay for the prototype.:smile:

No prototypes are made yet as of this moment. This is to gauge interest on the product. If there is enough interest then he will produce it, or it is just a waste of his time. It will be significantly cheaper and will be test fitted on the new valence that is produced.

The spats and rear center piece however are already in the works.

Question please, will the NSX-R Fiberglass Diffusor (which I believe is mounted only to the center piece) be made to fit an actual OEM '02+ valence? If so, and the price reasonable, I'm in.

That will depend on demand. He wants to be able to sell at least 10 to produce it, so if enough commits then maybe.

I think almost everyone that takes the center piece will probably want the diffusor to go with it. I know I do.

Few questions...

Would the NSX-R diffuser piece fit the '02-'05 OEM rear valance? (If it's an 100% yes, I'm in for that piece)

Are the rear spats and center-piece going to fit over the existing '91-'01 OEM valance? (ie. Kite style pieces more-or-less)

I have a dual-tipped exhaust, so I'm curious what type of center-piece is planned to be made?

The 02 Style valence centerpiece and spats will be Kite style which fits on the original 91-01 rear valence.

The NSX-R style diffusor will also be to fit on this valence, at least the one I am interested in, which I have called to inquire about. He will only make this if at least 10 people are strongly interested and will commit at a certain price. I will be willing to commit to the prototype and prepay to have them produce it.

If there is enough interest in the NSX-R style diffusor to fit on the OEM ones, he might make it. I'll ask.

NOTE: I need at least 5 to commit to the centerpiece, though 10 would be better, so it will be on Carlos' priority list.

If the price is fair, I'd be interested in the Type R diffuser. Give both the option of keeping it FRP as well as CF overlay to save even more money...

I have spoken to him about this center piece on the phone and he told me he would have it made in a week, this was in late Jan. or the 1st of Feb. I have not heard from him since nor has he returned any calls or pm.

So who are we going to do business with Stick-e-rice or Carlos?

I have also had the same difficulty getting a hold of Carlos. I wanted to get a rear valence and he told me he had one available for sale. I then PM'd and emailed him multiple times with no response over a few weeks. This is not a slam of Carlos just letting people know he may be hard to get in touch with and may be too busy with other things.

You will be doing business with Carlos, not moi. I just want the part and Carlos agreed he will start work on it sooner if I get a bunch of people together to sign up to have the part made.

Carlos is hard to get a hold of as he is tied up with other projects, but he told me to give him 2 weeks from the last time we spoke.

I am hoping also that I can get this part made and Carlos will be able to post pictures of the prototype for everyone to see.

So we will see, no one else has responded to me in regards to being able to get the Kite valence.

I'm praying, fingers crossed that this will get done, but we never know. :smile:

I bought a set of sideskirts from Carlos and have been very pleased. I met him to pick them up in person and he was a very pleasant fellow to deal with. Unfortunately he's got a day job as well as a few other projects on the go at all times so unless he sees some real interest he will not put things aside to make these, I'm sure. The quality and fitment was A1.
