Hi just wondering if it's ok to put a 8w bulb instead of the 5w oem...
long story short, my body shop forgot to hook the light back into my side marker, as I 'bust' out the passenger side one, I found the bulb's burnt, and it's kind of late when I do the fixing, the only bulb i have is the one I took off from my wife's TL reverse bulb. which is 8w instead of 5w...
It's a lot brighter, and I tried to turn on and signal, doesn't seem like there's any changes to the speed (guess it'll be no promblem with the relay, true?)
I know that it probably not too good of an idea of excess heat, but 8w doesn't seem that high either, I have very little knowledge about electrical, please someone let me know if I should put the 5w bulb back on..
