Would anyone have the 60k service checklist and timing belt check list?

I dont have an owners manual and wanted to see what is actually performed. I was quoted 300 for the 60k service and 400 for the timing belt change from a mom&pop specialt shop. Wanna make sure they do everything an authorized dealer would do..

thanks

perferct... thanks..
It looks like 90k only has the timing belt IFF the 60k is done at the same time.. Wonder why they charging over 1k for this?

mul1gan - you will probably pay around $1200-$1400 for the water pump/timing belt service, and around the same for the 60kservice, if you go to a dealer. Ask me how I know this...

yeah thats the thing.. I got a quote from this specialized mom and pops auto shop.. They said 300 for 60k service and 300-400 for timing belt... Maybe they're not including the NEW water pump...

But even so, sounds like a great deal if they can do the work right...

Peter,

You need to be careful here. Anyone who quoted this pricing has NEVER done it, and if so, will leave out alot of items. These two services are a lot of work and to do it correctly will require almost that much money in parts:).

It is NOT a good deal, trust me.

E-mail me at [email protected] When I am home this evening I will forward you my parts list.

I agree with Larry.

I would never have a major service done on my NSX by anyone who has never done it before. I wouldn't even have it done by anyone who has done it before, but doesn't spend a fair amount of time doing it over and over again. With experience, you learn how to do it, you learn all the tricks that reduce time, the gotchas to avoid, etc.

My local independent mechanic is fine for mounting tires and brake jobs. But for anything complicated, I take it to the dealer - and not just any dealer, but one that does a lot of NSX service work. (There are independents in some areas who have a lot of NSX experience, and they're fine too - but there aren't many outside California and Arizona.)

You can buy a replacement owner's manual here.

I got a list of items/checklist for the 60k service. Correct me if i'm wrong but the parts for the 60k service is minimal.. About 100-150 dollars in parts, including plugs etc. Are you telling me that the dealers are charging 800-900 in labor?

Would it make more sense to just do the timing belt service + oil change and skip the 60k service????

thanks
