JPS - On occasion, my '94 with 21k seems a bit stiff when shifting into 5th. Usually after the car is warmed up. But have always been able to shift into 5th, just cranky sometimes. Changing to MTL helped a bit, but still have the problem.Maybe when I reach 35k, I'll experience the same as you, so I'll keep watch of this post.
