I am about 3 days away from upgrading my 92's transmission with the NSX-R short gear set, and Ring & Pinion. Just last week, I bought another 91 NSX 5spd transmission to keep around as a spare, but then decided to add the gears and R&P to it, then swap it into my car to avoid down time. After doing some thinking, i'm wondering if anyone knows someone or somewhere that may possibly be interested in trading 2 NSX 5spd transmissions for 1 NSX 6spd tranny. They are both stock, and have not had the gears added yet. 1 of the transmissions is in the snap ring range (has not failed yet), but I have a new snap ring I am about to have installed into it before making any moves. If you happen to know someone that may be able to help me, or may be interested, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

I believe you can only use a single disc clutch (97+) with the 6-speed tranny.

Also, the tranny with the snap ring will not be "saved" just by changing the snap ring alone. You need a new transmission case that has the correct groove cut for the snap ring as well. Mark Basch wrote up a rather lengthy synopsis on the snap ring issue. You can find it doing search on this website.
