Does anyone have experience with the application of this film to protect the nose? Also does anyone know where you can buy less than a complete roll for personal application. A roll is quite expensive and would compel use of a detailing shop instead.

I have had 3m film on an 99 Audi A4, 00 Audi TT, and 2001 NSX. For the first two cars, I bought precut kits (from Invincashield and Stongard). For the last (and most important one, of course), I had it custom cut.
I dont think its a do it yourself job. Even the precut kit is a pain to put on because you have to stretch it and squeeze bubbles out at the same time with a squeegie. The custom fit one looks great, and I have covered the bumper, hood, mirrors, and spoiler. Custom fitting is definitely not a do it yourself job, as they cut the film on the car.
I have a picture of the film on my car, but I never bothered to post it because the film is not visible.

For ordering a roll of the film or part roll, I think 3m might sell the product, but not directly.

Regards.
Rick
