I've been playing about with some 3M Vinyl and had a go at doing the interior mirror. Turned out well I think and even got the OEM embedded writing to show

Of all the carbon wrap parts I've seen, this looks the best. It is subtle and clean and it's not some pretentious wanna-be look.

Nice job.

Ya, I really need an extensive "how-to" on the procedures. I have tried this on several pieces just playing around and I can't figure out the trick to save my life.

Thanks guys!

I can do a write up with pics if you like. Will just have to take the mirror apart again so give me some time and I'll get back to you asap.

First time seeing a carbon wrap on the rear view mirror. Looks good. I like it.

How easy is it to seperate the mirror and the pivot mount from the unit?

Very easy, I screw holds the mirror to the mirror mount thats stuck to the window, when thats free you just dismantle the rest of the mirror.

I'm putting together a how-to on this for you and will stick it up with pics on this thread.

It's pretty amazing how well this contours to the letter stamping.

How is this holding up to long term heat?

Holding up just fine! In saying that we wouldnt have the heat that some of guys get; but as tester, I have put a square of this stuff down inside the engine bay close to high temps to see how it lasts, its still there and in perfect condition still.
