This seems unbelievable to me:

According to the site:
"Raptor Brand: HID Slimline ballasts from DDM for the price of a pair of superblue bulbs? Of course. Value is what we are known for. These are perfect for not just your car and truck but also for ATVs and motorcycles. Small as our DDM Premium Brand and just as light. These are perfect to put in all your vehicles.

Maximum current draw at turn on is 6 amps. Constant current draw is 3.4 amps."

These are 35Watt kits.

And the kicker!!: Lifetime Warranty is FREE.

I've got the Apexcone 55Watt kit in my NSX and love it. Also have the Apexcone 55Watts in my Mazdaspeed3 for the headlights AND the fogs, but I've never heard of Raptor. Anyone willing to try it?

Don't get them, a month ago DDM dropped their price for the holidays, and now that they have tons of orders they are pumping their kits out faster than ever. That means less attention to quality and details during this time. At first, when the DDM kits were twice as much in price, they were a pretty decent aftermarket HID kit, but now I've heard a lot of people complain about premature ballast failure.

I had a ballast failure...glad I had that lifetime warranty to get it replaced. I may buy an extra one, just in case the other one goes bad too...

I ordered the Raptor kit about a month ago and had problems with them after installation. DDM has virtually NO customer support. Their E-mail auto-responder claims that they are "backed up" and recommend calling them on the phone. But they don't answer their telephone. Frustrating!!

Yah, that sucks, I'm sorry for you. I thought it would be too good to be true, but they claimed lifetime warranty, but everyone jumped on the bandwagon and now they are backed up.

I ended up buying this Raptor kit for my girlfriends Toyota Corolla and I must say it was the best $39 spent. We have not had a single issue with the units since their installation and the light output effectively tripled with their addition. The only complaint I do have (a minor one) is that we ordered 4300K and it's definitely a blue hue. It's a little more blue than my 55W 6000K. . . Otherwise it was an excellent purchase. I just checked today and the price dropped to $29!

I believe I purchased the Raptor Version 1, and the ones being sold now are Raptor Version 2(which are slightly thicker) as seen below:

Even though I wouldn't put this unit in my NSX (I do have the DDM 55W kit, however, running the extra power wire harness directly from the battery), I'd highly recommend it to upgrade any vehicles stock lighting.

Thanks for the update I wonder if the lower wattage give the 4300K the more blue hue because 4300K should be more white and I am also thinking that since the higher output wattage of the 6000K is just as blue but since it is putting out more lumens its just washing out the color hue not to mention its harder to look at since the brightness is so much more intense

I want to go try a 3000k HID kit for my fog lights. I already have Lexus ballasts for my headlights, but since I don't use the fog lights much, it wouldn't bother me to buy a cheap HID kit like this, and see if I get a lucky kit without any problems.

My ddm ballast went out two months ago too. What do I have to do to get it replace? Thanks

I would contact the vender you purchased them from. Otherwise you could try contacting DDM Tuning. . .

I've purchased 4 DDM HID kits (55W slim for the NSX, 55W for my Mazdaspeed3, 35W DDM for mom's Avalon, and 35W Raptor for my gf's Corolla) and have not had a single problem with any of them. . . knock on wood. . .

Well even with the money back guarantee does it not drive you nuts that you have to replace it after two months? I bought a couple of cheap aftermarket HID and they either failed or sometimes flicker. I finally bought WhiteNSX and they are great. It cost five times as much but I'm happy. I would go with something a little more expensive unless you want to risk dealing the customer support and re-installing.

I have the 55W kit also and havent had any problem....but havent tried a 39 dollar set yet.....I rather spend a little more for something more quality than having to deal with returning and exchanging every few months or so...

I think they are talking about the 55W DDM kit. I don't know anyone in the NSX community that bought this $39 (or $29 for the holiday kit) Raptor kit, other than myself.. . even though I put them on a Toyota Corolla instead.

Are these the ones that will work on the 02 plus headlights? If it does work, what else will be needed? Thanks.
