Anybody Hear anything about this?

I was just sitting here with my bestfriend, and her boyfriend calls (he's on his way to Arizona), and he says there is a huge crash involving 3 NSXs, an Evo, and a Tundra. He said it happend at 2PM and it's still not cleared up (10PM now).

Well hopefully those NSXers, and other car people, are okay, and hopefully they were not racing.

Maybe somebody on here has more information... 3 NSXs are a lot in a small NSX community; somebody must know atleast some NSXer that was going on the 10-E in the middle of nowhere.

I seriously hope this is some kind of a practical joke.

We need more info on this unfortunate incident if such story has any merit.

Yes, you are absoultely right. SoCal NSX is a tight knit community. If something like this really occured-involving 3 NSX's (!), some poor NSX'er involved is bound to chime in here on Prime. Could be at least one of our friends we hang out with! :(

Let's hope this is not the case. If so, I hope they all walked away unscathed.

Keeping fingers crossed/

maybe his friend mistaken the NSX's for corvettes or camaros or mr2s or something

I hope it is a joke. Thats why I posted on prime to see if anybody has heard anything, since her boyfriend isn't the most reliable person in the world to hear things from.

Maybe it was 3 corvettes or camaros or something... since he was driving a old chevy truck and is trying to purchase a new chevy truck... maybe he visualized crashed NSXs cause he's a chevy man.

I can't imagine that there are 3 NSX's that cruise together where no one here knows at least one of them. I am guessing the cars were something else.

Ouch, this one hurt!

The San Mateo County District Attorney's Office filed felony vehicular manslaughter charges on May 25 against the sole survivor of a head-on collision that occurred in April on Highway 84 just east of La Honda, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The April 12 accident occurred when the Acura NSX sports car driven by Robert Rienecker, 46, of Pompano Beach, Florida, collided with a Volkswagen Beetle driven by 55-year-old La Honda resident Charles Cutten, who was killed, the CHP said.

Witnesses told CHP officers that Mr. Rienecker may have been trying to pass a slower-moving vehicle by crossing a solid double-yellow line when the collision occurred.

Both men were taken to Stanford hospital, where Mr. Cutten died of his injuries. Mr. Rienecker was treated and released, said Officer Christian Oliver.

Mr. Rienecker is out on bail and set to stand trial in San Mateo County on June 30, said a spokesman for the district attorney's office.

I remember this one. Comptech was enlisted by the CHP to conduct brake tests on the CHP test track as well as to re-in-act the scene of the accident on HW 84 using Comptech's green NSX.

3 NSX?? Based on unconfirmed accident I'm thinking it has something to do with the upcoming Canyon Drive?

hahaha..Didn't mean to...what I meant was - it's probably some kind of joke to discourage people from the upcoming drive  . But I think it also reminds people to be extra careful out in the canyons...

Dont Jinx it
