Well I have to ask this since lurking on here with regards to many owners use of the 285/30-18 tire and 235/40 17 or 225 combo.

Looking at the stock setup of, 215 ft 245 r, vs this aforementioned setup would leave considerable understeer, more than the stock setup. Correct me if I'm wrong.

But looking around I found Toyo makes a T1 245/35 18 that's one inch less in height than SO-2 235/40. So I was wondering if anyone has tried this front tire with the 285/30 rear? Would it fit in the front wheel well and I'm sure the tread patch being wider-although still much smaller than the 285-would negate less understeer.

there are many ways to reduce understeer. Changing sway bars, using different springs, changing alignment settings. I say that because I think using tire size that big has a lot more negative effects than positives on a street driven NSX. First the cost, than the wider tires also have less wet traction, less responsive, heavier, etc. Just remember, Ayrton Senna put 225 front and 245 rear tires on the NSX-R.

On the other hand, if your NSX has a custom turbo kit like David's that is pushing out over 400hp, than bigger tires is a must.
