Search doesn't work so well looking for tire sizes, especially when it's the same size as the 91-93 stock size rear.

Has anyone run a 225/50/16 in the front? Does it rub at all? I'm not worried about traction control working since I turn it off at the track anyways.

Just looking to get a little more grip over a 215/45/16. :)

way too tall ,I ran 225/45/16 for a while and it was ok.

If you're looking for more grip, get stickier tires. 10 mm of treadwidth isn't going to make anywhere as much difference as getting stickier tires will. Get some R compounds. R compounds in the '91-93 stock sizes will give you way more grip than street tires in the '94-01 stock sizes, despite the difference in treadwidth. Plus, you can fit them inside the car and drive to the track on your street tires, and it's easy to find cheap used sets of '91-93 stock wheels to mount them on.
