As an fwi I recently went from a 235/40/17 front to 225/45/17 for my track setup.Reason is that I wanted to go back to p-zero-c from yoko a032r.The new front works ok with 275/40/17 rear,as far as tcs,but boy is it tall.We had to bite the bullet and remove the plastic fender liner and grind down the nubbin were the body welds form a small point at the back of the well.Removing the lastic does free up some space, looks like you could get a 245 in there, anyone else try this? The only downside is every drive is now like driving a pinball machine or marriachi band.lol

I ran P Zero C's when they had a 225/45 16 on my stock wheels. When they stopped that size, I went to a 235/40 17 (new set of wheels)with Kumho V700. Just have two track events on them but I think they will work better then the P Zero C's performance wise. I don't think they will last nearly as long, but fairly good grip on the track with excellent feedback. They also ride very nice on the way to and from the track. Going to the track again on Monday and will keep you posted.

Yes I was in the same boat, with the stock wheels and 225/45/16.Since I have a new set of p-zero-c and the 235/40/17 is ideal, for the front, maybe I'll mix the setup with the kuhmo up front and pirelli out back.Any thoughts?

I'd be pretty leary of that setup personally. Not sure how the car would handle, my guess is oversteer. If you try it, let me know what you find.
