2019 acura nsx first look: Mid-engine hybrid supercar gets refreshed

I'm surprised how much I like the Thermal Orange Pearl. And I like the items they're now bundling as standard, although it moves the car further away from the "bespoke" concept they bragged so much about pre-release.

So no changes outside except painted the beak, and raised the base price when they had to give out $30k incentives to move them. Okay then

It is nice ..subtle upgrades for both current owner and new buyer, see how many new ZR-1 are orange, and they are ~ $150K (and not quicker than NSX off the line) even Lambo, McLaren .. more and more bright Orange, why? --> "Hey! Look at me!" so instead of spending $200K or more to buy a Used Lambo/Ferrari/Mcl/ those people can buy a new NSX, and is as quick, and as sexy, and ORANGE! And basically $3,200 cheaper, and 2 model year newer!

The Blue leather is lovely, will match super nice with Casino white!

I wish Acura can "extended" the carbon interior package, at least, few of those "silver plastic" interior pieces could be replaced with carbon at whatever cost ..

As current owner, good news, don't thing anyone will upgrade to 2019 because of the Orange, and I believe 90% NSX owners are happy with the suspension set up now, don't really need stiffer roll bar and bushing ...

Ideally, Honda/Acura can offer the new software for current owner ... (plus a more aggressive software for slightly higher output)

:)

I agree that some more CF for the interior would like nice. But which "silver plastic interior pieces" are you talking about?

I can't tell you how many folks on the bitch parade keep saying the silver aluminum interior elements, including the paddles are plastic.

I don't care what anyone else says. I like it and would be happy to have one in my garage. Although I could stretch and afford the price of entry, I have a lot of trouble treating myself this well. If the new NSX were 100K I could see saying goodbye to my minty /94, taking the proceeds, finding another 20K and financing the balance. However, at north of 150K (not saying it isn't worth the money, just that the MSRP is a psychological barrier for me) I really need a partner to share the car. Anyone out there in Southeastern MI interested in a fractional ownership arrangement? I'm not joking. If I could find the right person and we had a comfort level with each other I could see doing this.

Best,
Jeff

The Silver and Black NSX that was spied testing at the Ring 12 months ago showed more clues for MY19 and MY20 NSX.

The Silver one was the MY19(suspension changes only).

The Black one(not Type-R) was testing the power-train changes for MY20.(louder exhaust sound)

The nsx is nowhere near "as quick" as ANY new mclaren ferrari or lambo. And the new zr1 runs 0-60 in 2.8s and 1/4 mile in 20.6 @134. Literally 10mph faster than an nsx. Where are you getting this info from?

Real life experience .... Not talking about 720S, Pista, or Performante, but 570S, 488, Huracan, and more realistic, compare to 12C/458 (used 458 still ~ $200k)

Plus many youtube comparisons. The Dodge Devil was claimed quickest vehicle, (for under $1M) but in real life, which owner can do 2.2 second 0-60mph?

And we are talking about "as quick", not faster at high speed nor lap time, the NSX is super quick off the line, (especially up to 40/50mph, 911Turbo quick!) but not so fast at high speed, rolling start from 60mph, the ZR1 will smoke it! (and many other super cars will)

Will see how the "updated" 2019 can do, stiff up the vehicle may cut half or 1 second lap time, and close the gap compare to those super cars, (For race drivers, but for average drivers? probably no difference) and updated software etc may squeeze more combined power at high speed, let's see what happens!
