480 is peak HP, but with a hybrid system it would mean you have electric motors that give pretty much peak torque the instant you floor the pedal, rather than @ 8000RPMl. It might not win a top speed shootout, but could still be pretty quick between corners. Considering corvettes are pricing over $100k, if they come in anywhere close to $130k it'll be something. This time around, at least they won't have the stigma of being a foreign wannabe carmaker.
 
I think having AWD, 480 hp @ 3100 lbs is a good start considering the GTR started at 480 hp @ 3800 lbs and had world class performance numbers
 
I briefly skimmed over that article and if I remember correctly, it said something about projected 0-60 times of 3.0 seconds flat and overall performance being on par with today’s Ferrari 458 Italia. :eek:
