Would you be able to take a really closer picture of the headlight along with the LED strip around the edge of the headlight? I'd like to see the detail in the headlight.

Thank You

Re: 2009 Audi R8 - too easy to throw down....

Read all the tests, parked my 95T next to an R8 and....guess what:

1) they are same size almost exactly in every dimension
2) the roof on the R8 won't come off
3) R8 has no trunk unless you are stowing a loaf of bread
4) R8 is heavier
5) R8 can make the front wheels spin too... I can't do that in the 95T
6) R8 is faster in a drag race
7) no Nurburgring times posted for R8 yet .....NSX-R clocked once at 7:58 (YouTube)...maybe R8 can't match that?
6) Cool LEDs around headlights - found same part on Web - $20 per headlight but you have mount them yourself.....lets see for $100k difference in ticket price I could get 2500 pairs of those cool LEDs.....does anyone want join in on a group buy?

What's your point here? I don't find your post helpful to the reader or supportive of his sale. Slagging his car just isn't on. Besides, he knows how great NSXs are. He's owned one for some time.

When I bought my GT3, I tried to find a way into an R8, but it just wasn't to be. Beautiful car - good luck with the sale. :)

I love the R8. Ran with one of the guys that owns one locally here with my RS6 and it was a hoot. Pretty quick car for sure. Unfortunately I already have a nice car in the NSX that aside from a few updated styling cues is comparable in almost every aspect.

Re: 2009 Audi R8 slagging explanation

OK - no offense intended to the R8 seller or his car. It is a really nice car and I like it a lot. I was just having a little fun.....and dealing with the general car mag syndrome of gushing over the R8 ...and never mentioning how close it is to an NSX in so many ways. The R8's coolest feature is that it is a year round liveable daily driver that operates in SuperCar territory.....and the first car to ever do that was the NSX.....and it still holds its own 18 years after introduction.

Not sure of I would swap my NSX one-for-one on a new R8 - but it would be a tough decision.

.....and I am really going to put those cool LEDs in the fog/DTRL opening

Thanks a lot Sean for saying what I was about to lol :)

I am still an NSX owner ... Don't get me wrong I love the car, but an R8 is an R8... its in a different class ... and you really do not understand how great of a car it is until you drive one...

Sean: It would be a tough decision for me... R8 or GT3 ... Im a Porsche guy at heart and the GT3 is an incredible driver/track monster, even in stock form.

Anyways... I have a few offers on this car, but nothing solid yet... willing to negotiate a lot lower for serious cash buyers, but I know its a stretch in this economy and this season

Awesome R8 you have there. I see them on the road around my town and they look simply amazing on the road. Pictures do not do this car justice. Best of luck with the sale.

thanks guys

im now having a hard time deciding if i want to cancel the order or have it to drive/sell this spring

if it is kept ... ill be using it on some of the cruises!!

Oh man, don't get high on your own supply:biggrin:, stick to the plan business before pleasure especially in a new venture. I know corny but it just happened to rhyme and apply to your situation.

Wes....that was...just...beautiful...

Zak, if you end up keeping the car, I'm calling shotgun for first dibs on a ride! :-) Just saw an R8 coming into work... looked pretty good, but your color combo is bad-ass!

Arshad... glad to see your still around lol

Ill let u know what my decision will be soon... I basically have another 2 weeks to figure out if I can get a buyer, or give back, or keep.

Unfortunately, as much as Id like to keep it... Finances are brutal right now and that option does not look too good.

Easy decision...finances are brutal right now...and the gloomy financial picture is just coming into focus...so take it for what it is...a cool car that you got to appreciate for a while  I like the car...but I like an exotic that enables me to drive like hell to any golf course...and then take my clubs out! Thank God for the NSX!

Dam
