2006 Civic Hybrid at $300 below MSRP a good deal?

Why not consider a normal civic sedan? most of the hybrid cars on the market doesn't make their advertised gas mileage. unless you're planning to keep the car long term "6 year+". The money you saved on hybrid car won't cover the initial cost of the car itself compare to a normal civic.

Shotgun a e-mail to all dealers, and see who will discount. I got the 2nd Chevy Avalanche in Texas in 2001 when they were the latest greatest etc...and still got 1500.00 off......good luck....

Not everyone who is buying a hybrid is doing it to save money. A lot of people buy these cars because they are trying to use less fuel and help the environment. It is true that based on a purely financial decision they might not make a lot of sense, but buying hundreds or thousands less gallons of fuel over the life of the vehicle might be enough of an incentive to buy one.
