some words on the NSX replacement (?) due out in 2004. High output V6 powering the rear wheels, with electric motors powering the fronts. I've read this elsewhere recently and looks as though the skyline GTR will share this technology on their next generation car but it was developed by honda. They mention that price would go up considerably? Big expectations to exceed porche and ferrari with the this new lightweight, high tech fuel efficient car!
My personal opinion is , hmmm well I don't know we all wanted a V8 but I assume the potential of a 4WD NSX that is still light and with RWD biase, wow. Only thing is the skyline sounds crazy, remember NSX will most probably be normally aspirated whereas the skyline gets the VQ in twin turbo guise, plus electric motors! A normally aspirated 240hp Altima runs 5.9 0-60 (family car 4-door), talk is the VQ3.5TT will have at least 335hp, with electric motors raising output to 400hp, 160 more hp and TONS more torque, lighter, better gearing = 0-60 possibly under 4? Which means the NSX should be somewhere near that.....WOW.
