This is a call to all New Mexico NSX'ers (and those willing to come to Albuquerque) that we're going for a scenic drive through the central New Mexico mountains on Sunday, October 26th!

Who: All NSX'ers (other exotics welcome as well)

What: A drive through scenic New Mexico mountain roads with your fellow NSX owners

Where: We'll start at Montano Acura, 1200 S Renaissance Blvd. (two blocks west of I-25 on Montano road.) at 9:00 a.m. Coffee and donuts will be provided. From there, we'll take a drive into the Jemez wilderness where we'll stop for pictures at a couple of scenic vistas. From there, it's on into Los Alamos where we'll eat lunch at a swanky restuarant (TBD). After eating our fill and taking our requisite pit stops, it's on the road again to Santa Fe and a drive through town. Then, it's on to the Turquoise Trail through Madrid and the east side of the Sandias, and I-40 back into Albuquerque. The trip should be over with sometime mid-afternoon. If you're in town on Saturday, you can participate in the final RGRSCCA Solo II autocross event of the season!

When: Sunday, October 26th, 2003. We'll meet at Montano Acura at 9:00 a.m.

Why: Becuase you don't want to put your beloved NSX to bed for the winter just yet!

Central Avenue Grill in L.A. is the lunch joint. This is truly a swanky place relative to N.M. standards; they require shoes. :o

AFIK, I am the only one in the State with an NSXCA radio. So instead of just me hogging the airwaves, I will bring several business band radios so we can all chime in.

Chuck and Spencer,

Have a great time on the drive and associated festivities. I wish I could be there but we moved to Mercer Island, Washington (just outside of Seattle) several months ago. It's beautiful here but I miss the desert.

I still have the NSX but my wife thinks it needs to become a boat, I'm still holding out...

Tell "Laughing Jack" at Montano Acura hello for me, I'm sure those guys miss my money.

We were wondering what happened to you, Ray.....missed you all season at the Autocrosses. I had visions of three NSX's showing up, which would have been cool!

Hope you enjoy your new surroundings, and be sure to look me up anytime you're back in the Land of Enchantment!

Wow Ray! Moving to Washington is really going out of your way to avoid autocrossing with us. :)

Have fun up there with your adventures, I hear the coffee is pretty good. Don't sell the NSX, it's the only thing which won't rust.
And if you send me your address, I'll mail you a bucket of the finest NM desert sand, and a big bag of green chile.

Due to a scheduling error, the 2003 New Mexico Fall Road Trip will slip one day to Sunday, October 26th. The time, place, and itinerary will be the same.

If you're in town and interested in having some fun with your car on Saturday, too, then stop by Sandia Motorsports Park for the final RGRSCCA Autocross of the year. There will be at least two NSX's there, an experienced NSX instructor to ride along with you if you'd like, and loaner helmets will be available as well. It's a great, safe way to see what your car is capable of (and what you are capable of) and it's a lot of fun as well.

Well, hope to see you out at Montano Acura on Sunday, October 26th!

Open it up like we do here in San Diego. Anybody can bring anything along as long as it is on the level of a MR2/S2K or up. Much more fun and better variety that way.

Doh!

Chucky.......how u been??

Well just read the thread today. How was it?? Could you post some pics? I couldnt quite make it seeing as how I curbed my car the day before (blown damper amung other atrocities) Im still waiting to get her back from Montano Acura. Should'nt be more than a week or so. Any news on the next meeting of all the New Mexico guys??

CJ "the Banana Joes NSX Guy"

CJ! Nice to see you on the forums. Haven't seen you since the Banana Joe's days.....hope all is well and you're doing great. I was really hoping to run into you before the NSX event to invite you along.

Anyways, NSXT and I were the only two NSXs there. My passenger took some pics (my camera broke) and the drive was a blast. Once I get some copies of the photos, I'll try to scan them and pass them along.

I'm not sure when the next official NSX meeting will be here in ABQ, but you know I'm always down to go cruising any time.........PM me here, call me, or drop me a line @ [email protected]! Are you still busy with work on the weekends?

Chuck

No more bars!!!

Chucky,

No more weekends working for me. I got a real job. Im in the Title ins. biz now. Traded in the whole chicks and Crown Royal for a suit and tie. Hardly seems worth it. After I left the bar I guess it went downhill and closed. Oh well, it was cool while it lasted. So anyhoo Ive got weekends off and look forward for some track time!!! I have recently purchased some new rollers and I will post some pics omce I get my car back from Montano. Soon I hope, Im dying without her! We should get together and ill see if I can pull some strings at Sandia for some track time for cheap! Take care and Ill see you on the road!
