I just looked at an '02 NSX today...it only had the factory stereo and I guess DID NOT have the dealer upgrade to the CD disc changer in the trunk?? Is it worth getting the factory Disc changer and is it wired for it so it just plugs in? Or is this something your better off just changeing the entire head unit to something updated...would prefer to keep factory look to the dash if possible but dont wanna spend tons of money on an out-dated factory disc changer that is probably "so-so" anyway if it takes alot of work and $ to install...whats the best fix for this?? Thx

I ask cause I don't think I can live with just a cassette player!!!!!! lol yikes:eek:

What's a CD player? :biggrin::wink:

just get an iPod and adapter. :smile:

Yup the i-pod with usa.spec PA11-HON car stereo interface.

took me less than 5 minutes to install and you can have thousands of songs.

VERY cool How about this tho?? The car was sold new with out the CD changer at all so when I looked into the trunk there was nothing...zero..zip...nada....Is the wireing still there and just not used cause I understand the CD changer to be a "dealer installed upgrade" when they were new?? Or do you think there are no wires at all leading back there and all thise would have to be fitted up, brackets, etc since there was never a unit in the trucnk to begin with??

Thanks...awesome info and pics tho...very god install guide!!!!

I think in '02 the CD changer was still an add on option. I removed a new one that I purchased a few years ago and wired in an I-Pod. The car is pre-wired for the changet behind the carpet on the pass side of the trunk. If you end up buying this car I'll sell you my OEM changer and bracket for a good price. But honestly, installing an I-Pod adapter is much better.
