I really like the looks of the rear valence on the new NSX's. Will one fit on a my 96 and do I have to go to Acura to get one? Also is there any after market valence thats looks like the 2002?

Yellowdancer and Ecosse did it and it looks great.

Thanks Joel - (even if you got my name slightly wrong!

Kings: try a search-click here, using the keywords "02 rear valance" & you will turn up many threads on this subject including pics & hows & wheres, part #'s & prices, what exhausts you can/can't use etc.
This is mine, here

Thanks D'Ecosse, I e-mailed Neillo Acura today and i'm waiting for a reply. I won't have a problem with the exhaust because i'm using a Tiatec GT Lightweight.

Kingsnsx - are you NSXCA member? Good for 30% off, should bring cost down to about $520 for the valance.
If not contact nsxtasy to enroll (I believe the NSXCA web site has been down)
Goodson Acura in TX also gives very good deals - tax vs shipping probably becomes a wash.

Anyway, spot on!

No offense taken Joel - it's been butchered much worse! Not quite as large a mouthful as Litesowhatsisname!

Thanks, I just faxed over my NSXCA registration form. I tried to join online, but the site would not let me fill out the form. I'm still waiting for a reply from Niello Acura.

Je peux parler un peu de français.

Pero yo puedo hablar español mejor.

D'ailleurs, mon chien, Cosmo, est d'Ecosse. Bien, non mon chien, mais son type de chien.

Right. We don't have on-line registration at this point in time, except through Paypal, but we can turn around membership sign-ups pretty quickly (as noted here), especially when we know that you need it to get a vendor discount.

With the discount, the valence at Neillo Acura is $711.14 plus shipping and Ca. sales tax. I'm waiting for a reply from Goodson Acura. It took about 5 min. to become a member of NSXCA after I faxed in the form. Thanks for all the help!

Per my receipt, the valance (skirt)part # 71511-SLO-000ZZ was list $734.28, net $514.00 or -30%
The Stay, part # 71555-SLO-010 was list $23.76, net 16.63 or -30%.

I paid sales tax @ 7.75% & zero shipping.

(I edited when I re-read that your number is not incl. of tax & shipping)

$711.14 equates to -3.15% discount

Something not quite right ...... you should get a sanity check from Goodson, or call Niello directly & question it - 916-334-6300
p.s. I understand Eric is no longer at Niello.

I have bought quite a few things from Steve at Goodson and he always matches Niello's prices, and as I live in CA when the value is high enough it really pays not to pay the CA sales tax.

Shipping has always been the same from Goodson as from Niello.

D'Ecosse, the quote I got was from Mike Svilarich from Neillo. After I read your reply I wrote him back with the part numbers this time, asking him to check his figures. Maybe he quoted the wrong part. I'm still waiting for a reply from Goodson. Thanks again for the help!

You can always ask your local dealer also: I showed mine I could receive 30% discount and while they couldn't quite match that offered 20% off. Unless its a high-dollar part, the convenience of walk-in is attractive for many parts. (Even on a $200 part, if you save $20 in shipping its a wash). It doesn't hurt to ask!
I always use the line when negotiating - "would you rather make a little money, or NO money?" (Must be my Scottish-ness !!!!!)

Hi guys, Neillo quoted the wrong price. The price that D'Ecosse paid is the right price with the discount. I will see if Goodson will match Neillo's price, and will order from one of them today. Thanks again for all the help!
