I don't have a 2002 factory service manual, only the one for my '96, which of course doesn't cover HID headlights.

A local person has a 2002 that blew the fuse to the left HID. I replaced the fuse & it no longer blows, but the light just flashes once when you turn it on.

My guess is the HV module is bad. Anyone have experience with this? What parts are replaceable? I did a search on 2002 OEM HIDs and didn't find anything. Perhaps I need to use a different search string.

2002-2005 models require a HID bulb, model DS2.

You can buy a replacement DS2 bulb on E-bay for around $20...a set for around $30.

I upgraded my HID bulbs from factory 4300k to 6000k color. Brighter white with a very light tint of blue. Same color as the newer BMW's and Mercedes. Looks great and is brighter than the factory 4300k color.

These replacement bulbs work incredibly well and were an exact match in appearance, style and design as the factory bulbs...maybe even the same?

Super easy and quick install. Anyone can do it. No tools required. Takes about 5 minutes per side.

Be sure you get the correct bulb. It is a DS2 bulb.

I haven't had experience with the HIDs on my '02 but from past experience with other cars, I'm betting it's the ballast (control unit) http://www.oemacuraparts.com/produc...KA6MT/acura/control-unit/33119-s6m-003-acura/

I had the same issue found out it was my Igniter

the ballast powers the igniter and the igniter ignites the gas inside the bulb.

since you say the bulb flashes mean the bulb can still ignite but the igniter fails to keep it going.

def the igniter.

now if one igniter fails and you replace it
the new igniter will be brighter than the old one.
so I would replace both.

now the DS2 D2S bulbs are about 150 bucks each bulb
I am talking about OEM and not an aftermarket bulb. part number is 33116-SLO-003

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ACURA-OEM-F...ar:2002|Model:NSX&hash=item2a1efa134a&vxp=mtr

the igniters are about 50 bucks heres one I found part number is
33129-S5A-J01

http://www.ebay.com/itm/OEM-Acura-M...ar:2002|Model:NSX&hash=item19cf083edd&vxp=mtr

and the ballast is OEM at 210 at the dealer
part number 33119-S6M-003

but I think its your igniter
