Well, I'll let you know more when I get the car.:biggrin: I turned my speakers off, pulled the eBay listing up and worked through it. I was able to talk extensively to the seller on the phone and get comfortable enough to do a PPI and compression check at an Acura dealership. Compression is very strong and even, will need brakes in the not too distant future and some other small little niggly things. Biggest issues are that the right door was repainted, (PPI found overspray on a door seal) and it needs an engine cover and spare tire. Went through lots of megabytes of pictures and pulled the trigger. GPS shows that it's on a truck in AZ working it's way to me in CA. Most advice here is to buy the newest one that you can afford. I thought that I was stopped at the 97-98 level and was ready to purchase when this guy dumped the price 3k. I just couldn't resist the allure of the 02 upgrades!

Thanks for digging deep. The seller told me that he had moved and re-registered the car 3 times. I ordered a report yesterday from vincheck.report and it showed 3 owners. The car was sold today to a very knowledgeable buy who knew lots more about the paint and other things than I do. Whoever you are, you're a good addition to the forum.
