2002 NSX for sale; Imola Orange; JH4NA21682T000085
2002 Acura NSX for sale; Imola Orange, almost 42,000 miles, Price: $51,500.
Introduction
I am the original owner. I never park the car in the sun, and I have always pampered the car. No speeding, No burning rubber. No popping clutches. The car is 100% stock. It has had a rather boring life. I purchased it late in 2002 from the Acura dealer in Alhambra, CA because it was orange and I wanted an orange car.
Color: Imola orange, with orange leather interior. 1 of only 8 of this combination for 2002, and I think only 1 of 24 ever made in this combination, since the first year of the NSX facelift. It was also the first year for Imola orange in the United States. Because orange is so uncommon a color for this make and model, seldom do onlookers recognize this as an NSX. Usually people think it is either a Ferrari or some yet to be introduced Corvette. They are convinced I did an aftermarket paint job. No!
Conditon: The car is in excellent shape. I am the only one to ever wash and wax the car, and I treat the rubber, door seals, and all the black plastic parts each weekend. When I go out in the car, I only park in the shade. Sun is probably the worst enemy of a car in Los Angeles, and I take great care to baby this car. The 2 rear Bridgestone Potenza RE760 and 2 front Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tires have lots of tread wear left. The car has slightly modified wheel aligment for better wear, and better fuel efficiency. Currently the car gets 23 mpg combined freeway and city driving consistently.
There is a small dime size area of wear on the driver side seat where I get in. also a few small paint dings, and minor wear to the front spoiler. Finally, there is on the driver side behind the door a small 3” long indentation in the aluminum body where someone’s bumper must have contacted the car at some point. But it is small, and doesn’t affect the paint. It isn’t readily noticeable. No wrecks, not even minor ones except the bumper incident I already mentioned. The Carfax report will show up clean.
Maintenance: Because I baby it so, the car is like new mechanically. The car recently had its 30,000 mile maintenance done by an enthusiast/mechanic at the local Honda dealer. Also I had to pay to replace an oxygen sensor that made the engine light come on. I got the car smog checked a year ago. The battery was replaced with a stock new battery 2 years ago.
Oh yeah; My wife got me an Escort X50 radar detector, and I had it custom installed along with a Shifter XR3 that detects laser and radar. It has sensors front and rear, installed in various cavities. I keep it in the glove compartment, but it is operational.
FYI: Private Party Blue Book for this car with $42,000 miles is $54,695.00.
