All I can say is ... it was the real deal. And the car is just so small !

Now we'll have to wait another five years before one of us bring Jenson Button's constructor's championship winning Honda F1 car to this show.

Yeah, just when you think that all the cars at C&C are the same ones every week, something wild happens. Saturday it was the F1 car and three - count em', three!- Lambo Muira's.

And what's the story behind the F1 car anyway? The owner was a nice enough guy, but ya' gotta' admit it's a little weird. Here's a rare F1 car sittng on a contactors trailer being towed by a contractrors stake truck sitting in the parking lot of PAG on a Saturday morning. So I ask the guy standing next to me "whose care is this?". He says, "it's mine". Me: "How did you get it and what are you doing with it?" He: "I bought it from Ferrari. I drive it".

Now I don't doubt what the guy told me, but come one, there's got to be more to it than that. He was very nonchalant about the whole thing while the rest of us were drooling all over ourselves. Love it!!

We are not talking the same $$$, but my Uncle collected Indy Cars and he and his friends would rent out the track and take some of his toys out to run. When I was 17, I got to drive the Penske PC-7 that Rick Mears won his rookie year at Indy. When my Uncle died, I was put in charge of negotiating the sale of the collection to Penske for the Estate (less my commision  ).

People buy these cars all the time and most play with them although I know someone who has a vintage F1 car mounted to his wall in the living room as art (1991 Bennetton F1 - Nelson Piquet's) .

Here is a guy that put a Countach on his wall...

Not that it really matters, but don't you think the owner of that car could afford an enclosed trailer? That looks like a rental from U-Haul.

It was a contractor's trailer, probably from his company - why buy an additional trailer when you already have one?
