2000 TPS wiring?

Hey guys, I'm checking out my buddy's 2000 NSX he's have a TPS voltage low CEL. I unplugged the TPS, and it's still running the same. I plugged the TPS back in, and cleared the code, and it came back on immediately.

After that I plugged in my code reader, and put it on datastream, and guess what? TPS isn't showing any percentage when being rev'ved up.

Also I believe there are two TPS's because the CEL says "A" so I'm assuming there is a B?

So my next step was to pull out the good ole multimeter, it seems like the pins on each end are showing continutity, hmmm so wires are touching somewhere.

Anyway I was wondering if anyone had either; TPS wiring, or the ecu pinout. Or even the how to check the TPS would be nice too. I don't know which one is signal, power, or ground.

It'd be greatly appreciated!

Hey I found this post and it sounds like the same problem as mine. I replaced the TPS sensor at position 1, the front where the Cruise control is. Same problem occurs. How did you fix it? or who did you get to fix it? I know this is an old post. Hope you are still active.

well I have found that alot of errors are caused by a missing ground.

I had errors P1241 P1242 P1244 and it turned to be this stupid fuse behind the firewall not bolted down. cost me 500 bucks for them to tighten a bolt at the dealership.

with that said, have you removed any grounds installed an amp etc. recently? replaced the antenna?

Okay. Now that you list the codes you got. I only have P1246. Which is the Throttle Position sensor 1. Replaced that brand new but the same code appears. I have not messed with the radio, yet. I was thinking about it before this happened. There are 4 things electrical that has changed:

1)I swapped the stock CD changer for the Alpine MP3 changer. Only used the cable converter that is suggested.

2)Reverse Tail Lights to LED, I reverted back for 3 weeks and it still popped the code.

3)I disconnected the power to the Electric Antenna. I don't listen to the radio, just the changer and thought it was wasteful to have the motor go up and down when I do not need it to.

4)HID Conversion. I did not think much of it since the lights aren't on.

It works sometimes for up to 30 miles no problem, but sometimes right when you turn it on it sets off the lights.

So far I changed the clutch just recently because it needed one. Thinking there was a speed sensor causing it. The problem is I ordered the clutch the week before the Japan earthquake. It finally showed some time in July. Not having a lot of luck right now.

I was thinking of disconnecting the HID units. I might just be really unlucky with this car. The A/C seems to have that electrical problem that has been recorded. I think it turns on sometimes on its own.

Do you happen to know what the fuse is called near the firewall? Any help would be great.
