Details
Im posting this on behalf of my father, who has decided to sell his NSX, simply because he does not drive it.
I don't recall the full history of the car, but my dad purchased it in 1997 with about 12k miles on it. The previous owner was an SCCA racer, and had done a number of modifications to the car. Due to that, it would be safe to assume that the first owner used the car for track days or possibly auto-X.
The list of modifications, as provided by St. Louis Acura that did at least some of the work, is as follows:
Upgraded Billet oil pump.
Suspension - Koni adjustable shocks, Ibox springs
Comptech brake upgrade -rotors and stainless steel brake lines.
Engine - Comptech ported and polished cylinder heads, headers and intake manifold are port matched to the cylinders. Has a high flow intake manifold, high flow air filter housing, upgraded Comtech camshafts and cam wheels.
Complete Comptech exhaust system.
Has a close ratio gear set in the transmission and comptechs upgraded clutch.
With the engine modifications, this NSX puts down 255hp and 185 ft-lb of torque at the wheels. This is about a 20-30hp gain at the wheels over stock, and appears to be pretty typical of what would be expected with Intake/Headers/Exhaust work.
KNOWN ISSUES
There are a couple of known issues with the car:
Rims do have some road rash.
The right front bumper has two rub marks.
The drivers side door has a scratch just in front of the air intake.
The drivers door handle has some fine scratches near it.
The Left Front fender has some small scratches.
The Left bolster on the drivers seat has some minor wear.
The HVAC fan only operates at high speed or off, we are ordering the replacement board, and intend to have this repaired soon. However; it may or may not be done depending on the timing of any deal that is made.
