<P>UPDATE (5/31/05) To relieve any concern, I took the car to Seattle last Friday and had the timing belt and water pump replaced. The work was done at Lynnwood Acura and there were no other items needing attention at this time. Please contact Jon at Lynnwood for his opinion of the car. Mileage is now slightly more than 64,000 miles, locally owned (Spokane, WA) since 2000, new lightweight odyssey battery in 2004, Alpine 6-disc CD changer upgrade in 2002, less than 3,000 miles on new Yokohama OEM tires, full factory nose mask and mirror covers, always garaged under complete cover, never driven in winter, rarely driven in rain, looks like new. <P>"Honda’s designers started with the basic exotic-car wedge, as in Ferrari 308 or Testarosa, and tuned it to near perfection. The design was so right-on from the get-go that Honda has seen fit to produce it, virtually unchanged for just over a decade now.</P>
<P> "Then there’s the NSX’s super-lightweight, all-aluminum chassis, body and suspension, a first for a production car. There’s the car’s double-wishbone suspension, mounted at both ends on aluminum subframes, a setup right out of the Formula 1 playbook. And there’s the race-car-inspired V-6 engine, placed amidships with its Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control (VTEC), six individual coils and titanium connecting rods.</P>
