'93 White with Black interior, 5-speed with Vortech supercharger and intercooler installed 10k miles, $29,500. Includes fluid-cooled intercooler with cooling core and electric pump system, over-size injectors, programmable piggy-back ECU with fuel trim software (with cable and sensor), Koni shocks, XM radio, hard-wired CD changer, 73k total miles, clutch good (new at 50k miles), valves adjusted, tires excellent, everything works great. Note: '93 was the first year with a passenger-side air bag, as well as first year with cup holders. Issues: One Bose door speaker amp needs to be replaced, rear bumper has small (very minor and easily-hidden) crack in the plastic (white nail polish fixed, ask for photo). Several wheels have minor marks. Supercharger is not CARB-approved, but car runs very clean due to fuel trim adjustment. Supercharger waste gate makes a whistling sound at idle, which is normal but if it annoys you then turn up the stereo or, hey, take the Jag. No accidents but had minor ding on Lff while at mechanic shop, needless to say repair is flawless. This is not a quiet car, but it is fast, especially for a 3-liter. Stock springs and exhaust. Car is well-maintained, etc. Car cover included. $29,500.

Additional comments and information:

The Vortech system: The heart of the system is the dependable Vortech blower, but the special feature is the intercooler. This intercooler has a separate radiator, piggy-backed onto the radiator at the front of the car, with an electric pump that circulates coolant from the front of the car into the engine compartment and through the intercooler body. When the engine is running, the outlet side of the intercooler is impressively cool (touch it and see). The cool air makes all the difference. The result is a solid boost in performance. My neighbor has a near-new 3.2 litre with a full Comptech system (supercharger, exhaust, etc.), and the difference in performance between the two cars is not all that dramatic.

My white '93 also has room to upgrade. Start with stiffeners, springs and exhaust.

Cosmetically, the Vortech system fits under the stock engine compartment cover, so from the outside the car looks plain stock. You could improve the appearance of the system by grinding down the welds that were used to achieve the special curvature required on the air intake pipe (see photo) and powder-coating the pipe. I am personally more into function. I think you will be surprised by the degree of performance enhancement that already exists in this car.

Another nice feature is that the struts that hold up the trunk have been replaced with new, and the engine compartment cover struts work as well.

And of course the '93 gives your passenger an airbag -- which you will never need but may be helpful to reduce a degree of whining, at times.
