Storied Silkrip NSX competition car. 3-time International Open Road Racing champion, record holder on Nevada Highway 318, licensed in Nevada to my Nevada corporation. Not certified to pass CA smog, but street legal as licensed in Nevada. Full roll cage, fire suppression, harnesses, fuel cell, etc. Techs Unlimited in ORR events, passes even tougher tech for Mexico. Note: 1994 - minor bump in right rear quarter panel was repaired by replacing entire panel with OEM part

Shad installed a wonderful new clutch 4/17; engine rebuild was 10/15 incl timing belt and water pump at 107,145 miles; KW coil-over suspension 6/14 at 106,420 miles; confidence-inspiring StopTech big brake kit installed 1/13 at 104,349 miles. Car has Comptech stainless headers and exhaust and Comptech supercharger with after-cooler. I have a spare set of O.Z. Racing wheels (silver) with excellent Michelin SuperSport tires. Windows work, A.C. blows cold. I have removed some of the stereo amps but still have them.

Shad said that the California smog test issue would be mostly related to the safety fuel cell - it would have to revert to the standard NSX fuel tank with its vapor recovery system, etc. Also, the AEM unit would probably have to be replaced with the standard ECU along with a few other tweaks. So it is apparently possible to get the car to where it might pass CA smog, but that would be up to the buyer. Thanks, Shad, for the expert input!
