It has come time to sale my NSX. I am selling the car due to the fact that every year/summer I like to get a new toy car. This year it was the NSX and next year I am planning to get a Ferrari F355. The performance and handling of this car is amazing. I have never driven a stock NSX before and after driving my supercharged NSX I don’t think I could. The power is so linear and smooth. Unlike turbo cars which have a sort of on/off power feeling. It literally handles like it is on rails and has almost zero body roll when taking corners.
I am the third owner of the car. The first owner was Sean Elliot. He was a basketball player for the Phoenix Suns from 1989-2001. The second owner was an Arizona resident. The NSX resided in Arizona from 1992-2006. It is now located in Pittsburgh, PA. It currently has a clean title and has never been in any kind of accident. I had a pre purchase inspection done at Basch Accurate Service in May 2006 to confirm this.
In 1999 the NSX was keyed while sitting in a parking lot. Instead of trying to match paint colors, the previous owner had a fresh coat of paint put on. The work was done at F1 auto performance in Phoenix Arizona. The shop used high quality Dupont stage 3 paint. Everything was painted off the car and then baked for a factory finish. I called this shop prior to purchasing the NSX and was told it was a $10,000 paint job. Currently, the exterior is almost flawless. There are a few rock chips here and there but nothing serious or noticeable. There are a couple of small scratches on the passenger fender but are not noticeable unless you are right up on the car. The paint is extremely glossy and very reflective. It almost looks like a mirror when you are looking into it. The depth of the black is very deep. It feels like a sheet of glass when you glide your hand across it.
The interior is in excellent shape as well. The leather is very supple and soft. The passenger seat still looks new. The drivers seat bolster has a very small tear about 1 inch long. There was never any smoking in the NSX. I just put in a set of brand new floor mats also. The air conditioning blows ice cold air in the summer and the heater works great on chilly nights. The factory sound system sounds great and has a 6-disc Alpine CD changer in the trunk.
I have tried to be as honest and descriptive as possible when making this ad. I would love to keep this car and get a Ferrari F355 but I can only drive one at a time. It truly needs absolutely nothing except for a new driver.
PRICES
I will sell the car for $46,000 with all modifications listed above.
I would also consider taking off the Volk GT-V wheels, GruppeM exhaust and GruppeM intake. I have a set of 18/19 inch Konig Tantrum wheels, Comptech exhaust and K&N air filter that I could put back on. I would sell the car this way for $41,000.
