Cosmetic Details:
Recently had paintwork done to the nose and lower front facia to remove rock chips, and to the rear bumper. It looks great! The rear bumper was popped by something minor in a parking lot (shopping cart is what we suspect, was definitely not a car) and it exposed a cheap paint job from a previous owner as it began to bubble up. Suspecting this could be related to the aforementioned exhaust mods. I intentionally chose not to replace the black chin spoiler at that time. Driver's side seat bolster has some small wear into the padding; interior paint finishes on door panel switch surrounds is a little bubbly. I also used some Sugru to bind the A/C vents at the top of the dashboard that had been cut in half for some reason I don't understand by a previous owner.
Mechanical Details:
Struggles to pass smog, albeit by the slimmest of margins. Roll of the dice every time I take her in. Either owner #1 or 2 installed an aftermarket exhaust at some point, and put the OEM muffler back on, but replaced some of the piping and installed aftermarket cats. Much is documented in the blog.
Car stereo features OEM head unit, but doesn't use OEM speaker setup. Amplifier in the trunk powers a small sub in the passenger footwell (very well hidden/installed), tweeters in the upper portion of the doors. Works well, I've had no problems or concerns with the stereo.
