Sure, that's why there are an a$$load of '91's.
I personally cannot believe the low production numbers late in the game. That I find hard to believe.

Production numbers of all colors was pretty high in 1991. There were more black NSXs produced in 1991 (1000+) than of all colors between 2002-2005 (850+). There were more silvers produced than total production of all years between 2001-2005.

The steep drop off of production in 1993 really tells that tale of just how poorly this car was selling.
