Maybe one of you fellow NSX lovers can answer this question, since I can't get a straight answer from any Acura or Honda dealers or mechanics. Does the factory alarm/security system that activates when the door is locked disable the ignition and/or the starter system(s)? Thanks in advance, to whomever, bjnz.

mine went off due to a bad contact with the system off and doors unlocked windows down.and it disabled the start.with the key it would not start until I reset it.note that is after the alarm went off.if your asking with the security on will it start(say if someone is jacking the car) the alarm goes off but motor will start...dont know.but am sure it wont after alarm is triggered.hope that helps
