Well folks, it's my turn to say goodbye. The last 5 years of ownership and 14k driving miles have been wonderful but life has caught up with me and the NSX must go. It has been a great car, only requiring oil changes and a new A/C compressor, during my ownership. She has been stored indoors and has never seen the snow. It hasn't been tracked or abused in any way. I will miss her a ton but I am grateful to have had the chance to own such a unique machine. It's time for the next enthusiast to experience the joy of NSX ownership.
Thanks for looking- ALSWEL
Additional Information:
NUMBER OF OWNERS- 3
CLEAN TITLE- Held by my Credit Union.
CLEAN CARFAX- Yes.
HISTORY OF ACCIDENTS- Rear passenger-side quarter dented (Bumped in parking lot). Repaired by previous owner.
HISTORY OF PAINT/BODYWORK- Front bumper and hood respray due to rock chips. No accident.
MAINTENANCE HISTORY- I have the complete history of the car since 1998 (second owner). I also have the 'dealer provided' history of the first owner.
SNAP-RING - Not a snap-ring car.
CURRENT CONDITION OF WEARABLES INCL. TIRES, BRAKES, BELTS, HOSES, SUSPENSION COMPONENTS AND FLUIDS-
Full synthetic motor oil used since I have been an owner.
Toyo T1Rs are about 25% Rear and 65% Front (remaining).
Brakes are strong.
Transmission Fluid replaced 6/1/09
D2 suspension installed 6/10/09
Brake fluid bleed/replacement 6-1-11
Some items that have been replaced and when:
Evaporator replaced on 7/24/02
Crank angle sensor replaced on 4/21/04
All Injectors replaced on 6/10/04
O2 sensors replaced on 6/10/04
Clutch kit installed, resurface flywheel on 6/10/04 70k miles.
Starter replaced on 8/30/04
Timing-belt/water-pump/belts (major service) replaced on 11/18/04 71k miles.
A/C compressor replaced 7/1/08 R-134 conversion at this time. Blows cold.
Stereo amps repaired by Brian K in March 07
Imperfections:
The detailer burnt the paint on the front bumper causing a 1 inch bubble.
Road debris caused a 1.5 inch scratch and small indentation on the lower passenger’s side door.
The windows need to be lubricated and aligned. They are slow.
Driver’s side bolster shows wear.
The CCU started acting up and needs repair (only blows on high).
Clutch is heavy. Chris @ SOS has stated that this is likely due to the clutch fork not being lubricated well enough when installed. Note: The clutch is strong, no slipping what so ever.
The top windshield molding needs to be replaced. It has the old 1 inch gap from shrinking. It does not leak or produce any wind noise, more cosmetic than anything.
The driver’s side front wheel liner was pulled out while turning and hitting a pot hole. No effect on drivability. I have the liner still. It might go right back in. Clips needed.
MODS
Pia Super Rossa 18"-19" wheels. No curb rash. Very clean. I would not be surprised if one was bent as driving around the Chicago roads is awful. I have replaced 2 rims already. I have the stock 15"-16" wheels/tires and they are included with the sale.
DF Air Intake Scoop. I have the stock snorkel and it is included with the sale.
D2 suspension installed. I have the stock suspension and it is included with the sale.
Taitec GT Lightweight Exhaust. I have the stock exhaust and it is included with the sale.
Shine GT-Spec Chin Spoiler. The stock spoiler is gone.
LEDs replace all interior lights and front running/parking lights.
UNI foam air filter - Great condition.
Engine hatch struts replaced with SOS units in 2007.
I have SOS trunk struts. Not installed yet as the stock units still hold...barely.
The engine cover is off. I have it and it is included with the sale.
I have the car cover as well and it is included with the sale.
I have the spare tire and mounting hardware and they are included in the sale.
I have the complete tool kit and it is included with the sale.
I have tried to be honest in my description of the vehicle and have priced it fairly for its condition. As I repair the imperfections, it will likely affect my price point. Please, no low-ballers.
PICS OF EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR (Added soon)
My camera is terrible. I will get some better pictures as soon as I am able.
The first Two are from before it was lowered.
The fifth is the bubble in the paint from detailer.
The sixth is the scratch from road debris.
13 is window molding.
The rest are obvious.
