NUMBER OF OWNERS: Two. My father was the original owner of this NSX. He stopped driving it in 2005. It sat outside for about a year during a period of transition in his life. I purchased it in November of 2013 and began a complete overhaul in 2014. I intended to keep this car for the rest of my life, however a move to Cleveland, Ohio from Franklin has reduced my free time considerably and all the roads here are straight and full of potholes. This is the right car, but not the right time.
CLEAN TITLE - Yes
CLEAN CARFAX - Yes
HISTORY OF ACCIDENTS - None
HISTORY OF PAINT/BODYWORK:
August 2014 – New lower bumper (curb damage) and hood and left fender (bird dropping) resprayed by Capley’s Paint & Body in Nashville, Tennessee.
December 2014 – Right side sill replaced in December 2014 by Suburban Collision in North Olmstead, Ohio after a NSXpo attendee pushed off plastic instead of metal and popped mounting brackets while getting out of passenger seat.
The paint is in generally good condition with a few minor scratches. Wheels have a few scratches and chips, most are from the old lead balancing weights.
MAINTENANCE HISTORY:
March 2014 – 17450 Miles – Dan Hamilton of Reliable Automotive in Franklin, Tennessee replaced the timing belt, water pump, hoses, belts, all the fluids, brake pads, rotors, fuel pump, thermostat, clutch master and slave cylinders, both window regulators, and an Optima battery. Dunlop Direzza DZ102 installed by C&F Tire in Franklin, TN.
April 2014 – Reliable Automotive performed a R134 conversion. NSXe-repair.com repaired the speaker amplifiers.
July 2014 - Dan Hamilton at Reliable Automotive in Franklin, Tennessee replaced Radiator Fan Control Unit.
September 2014 – Passed Ohio emissions testing after replacement of gas cap (original gas cap retained).
November 2014 – 19363 miles – Galati’s Foreign Car Service of North Olmstead, Ohio performed a full synthetic oil change.
I have older maintenance records for oil changes and repairs before I owned it. I do not have records from before 10,000 miles, but my father probably has them in a box somewhere. The transmission is not in snap ring range.
CURRENT CONDITION OF WEARABLES INCL. TIRES, BRAKES, BELTS, HOSES, SUSPENSION COMPONENTS AND FLUIDS:
All wearables (except suspensions components) were replaced in 2014 and have less than 2,000 miles of use.
INTERIOR:
The interior is in good shape. The driver’s side seat bolsters show minimal wear. There is a small 3mm tear on the top of the driver’s side door panel that is almost unnoticeable. The Grom iPod adaptor plays at full volume, however FM radio plays at a very low volume. The right door speaker stopped playing in the fall. I have the metal key and one regular key.
MODS:
StopTech Rotors, Hawk HPS Pads, Optima Battery, Grom iPod adaptor (two wires discretely come out of the bottom of the passenger side of the center console), Bosch wiperblades (originals included).
