18's on 1998

Hello all, hoping for some collective opinions. I have a 1998 Kaiser silver I bought a few months ago. Really love it, but looking to change wheels. Has the stock 16/17.
A Prime member has these Yokohama Advan Model 7 18's for sale. Seems like a very fair price. They are 18 X 7.5, 5X114 50 offset and 18 X 9.0, 5X114, 45 offset.

Will these cause any problems for my 1998 traction control system? My car in not lowered, and I prefer not to lower it. Will the 18's look funny without lowering the car?

I didn't have any TCS issue when I ran 18/18 but mine was lowered on Bilstein lower perch. It would make you car look a little high with 18/18 if you don't lower you car, especially the front. Stock wheels look the best if the car is not lowered. Have you thought of running spacers on your stock wheels to give it a little more aggressive look? If you really wanna change your wheels and keep the stock height, go with 17/18 setup. Good luck.

I saw those wheels for sale as well. My guess is that they're more suited for a S2000 rather than a NSX. The offsets are extremely conservative, also the staggered setup of a 17/18 is a better look overall IMO on the NSX (as REDNSXT also stated).

My advice would to go a 17x7.5" front with a +35 to +43 offset. Rear would be a 18x9.5 +29 to +38 offset. These offsets bring the wheels closer out to the fenders, giving a more flush look, more updated look. You also can run a 18/19" combination. The wheel widths and offsets on the 18/19 set would be the same as the 17/18 recommendation I made.

In short, it is my opinion that you should not purchase those wheels.

Yes , s2000 offsets fro sure . I would look for something intended for the NSX.

Thanks for the help everyone. I like the looks of the Advons, but will continue to look for the right size wheels. The 17/18 does seem like the most popular upgrade. Steve
