17/18's or 18/19's?

wait.... 18s and 20s???

haha they're kinda temporary but oddly enough they've grown on me...

I have done many sets of 17/18 combos for many years but lately they started to look a bit small among the newer cars. So I jumped to 18/19. The trick is to find the lightest wheels and tires and you will not sacrifice performance. In my case, I use Volk monoblock forged wheels and Toyo T1s. I probably will not go back to 17/18 again.

I got the 18/19 combo without body kits and love the look ...

But if you like 17/18 .. I really like Paul's setup too .. His car is the silver one in the center ..

I havent seen many silver ones here in San Diego. I did spot one on Mira Mesa Blvd the other day. Nice color! Your 18/19 setup looks good. The lip always makes the wheel look smaller than they really are. My Gewalts were the same size as my IForged, both sets were 19". People always thought the Gewalts were 20's!

ultra-high performance tires choices are limited, and cost $$$!

Heck yea, 18/19's do look nice & all that, but...

Ya'll don't mind the puny looking OEM brake rotors ('91-'96), especially in the rears?!? IMHO, it kinda gives the mixed emotion...
"phat rims, but". . .

IMO 17/18 looks to small for me.

18/19 for me in person they look 10 times better.

Isn't it a good excuse to start saving for a big brake kit ..:wink:

Agreed about the cost though ..

i got a stock 2000 in 03 and hurried to get an 18/19 setup. I've let the racing hart m5's go for a set of custom iforged rev's. 18/19 of course. This time with a SOS body kit and tein flex coilovers. I like the 18/19 setup with the coilovers

This will solve your dilemma....just buy a set of 18,19s for cruising and 17,18s when you want to track or tear it up..... ;)
