So her is the deal. I have rpf1 17/18 already. I also have the stock 15/16 too. What would you rather race with? I go to willow springs and autocross. I am not that completive just love to drive.

I drive now with the rpf now and have the stock rims storage. I thought it would be cheaper to just race with the stock rims and daily drive with the others.

What kinda preference would I loose with the stock rims? Or gain?

Thanx in advance.

If you can find decent track tires in the 15 / 16 sizes you need, you might as well just use the stock wheels for track and autocross.

the stock 15/16 combo is great for what you are looking for, Kuhmo, BF Goodrich(I think) and Hoosier all make compatible tires. Probably Toyo too but I have never used them. Much cheaper than the 17/18 sizes.

Then you can sell me your 17/18 setup:D

Yeah, the 15/16 OEM sizes (205/50/15 and 225/50/16) are way cheaper than the 17/18 combo.
If you have the stock brakes still, get some good tires on those 15/16s. Tirerack.com shows the Bridgestone RE-11, Dunlop Z1 StarSpec, Kumho XS, Yokohama ADVAN Neova AD08. The Nitto NT-01 is available in "close" sizes of (205/50/15 or 225/45/15 & 245/50/16).

Most R compound track tires are available in the '91-93 stock sizes.

Another advantage of the '91-93 stock sizes is that you can fit a set of track tires inside the car, and drive to and from the track on your street tires.

I missed those days. Instead of taking passenger seats out, or bugging a friend driving down and hauling tires for me nowadays.
