looks like it may help out the aerodynamics of the car,

HOWEVER, I know where I live the cops stop you everytime for that kinda' license plate holder and claim that your trying to hide your plates from radar, photo snap radar, etc....

You get a fix it ticket and a $35 to $80 fine.

Sorry to burst anyone's bubble, but I just thought I'd throw that out there, for those who didn't know.

HOWEVER, he did say his was fully adjustable...so I guess you could place it upright or tell the cop the wind must have pushed it that way.

i have this on my z and never had problem with it. in fact i got pulled over recently and the cop check to see if i have front plate, and he dunt say anything. its better having a licence plate rather not having one.

I have the same sort of thing on my GTR.

You need to redrill holes on your bracket or the plate to make them work (jdm plates don't have their holes in the same place.

As well, I rigged mine up a la drifter style where the side bolts are loosened enough to allow the plate to swing freely, and there's a flimsy spring attached to the rear applying enough pressure so that at speed the wind will push the plate flat and allow max air into my FMIC and when slow or parked (in the city) the spring will pop the plate flat out so its fully visible and not attract attention. Takes $2 in parts and 5 mins to do this.

Have fun!

Dayyyyyyyyyummmmm, Blast from the past. I use to have a 90 300zxtt same color pearl white. had trust power extreme exaust, jim wolfe ecu, jim wolfe twin pop intake. IT was my first turbo'd car (there have been many since)
Is it me or do the rear wheels look like the "skinny" non turbo wheels????
Sorry for the ramble.

I think many of us here came from this car. Here's mine (also with Jim Wolf/Stillen stage 3+ stuff):

Anybody know of a system like this:
http://www.hotrodproducts.com/RetractAPlate.htm

but works on 12V? Seems like a good thing: as the rest position of the plate is the legal one.

The NSX layout makes it a pain to route vacuum lines around...

I suppose one could be enterprising and make the operation proportional to the speedometer. Attract a lot less attention.

EDIT: I googled one:
http://www.stylinconcepts.com/part....rtFamilyID/1485/SubcategoryID/348/Category/25

But it is very bulky. The vacuum actuated one has a much better form factor.

I received it today.
I am running late to leave, but thought I would post that I got it. I know how we all get busy, maybe that's why he has a hard time getting back to everyone.

Thanks!!
