11 Second 600 hp NSX. . .800 with NOS?

Okay so I went to race in Las Vegas's first Midnight Mayhem of 2006 and I was very pleased to see two NSX's racing.
Anyone know these guys? The black NSX ran a respectable 13 second run but the silver NSX ran an 11.05 quarter mile! The only car faster than him was a twin turbo Dodge Viper.

While waiting in line to race I talked to him about his car. He said it can run high 8's on drag setup but hes currently in his race setup.

He also claims it has 600 HP and a friend of his says he dynoed 800 hp with NOS. Are these guys for real? Or just trying to pull my leg?

In pretty sure the numbers are for real.

I have seen videos on the net of the black NSX running 11,23 or something as well.

The silver car is competing in Best Motorings to be released "American Touge 2".

That’s us:wink: that night we made a few runs between the 550rwhp-700ish range. The best we ran so far is 10.68. We are hoping to get into the 9’s and 140mph+ with our new tranny and clutch combo. We actually share space with a Viper Shop in town. Those guys are putting down 1,000rwhp on pump gas! Those are the guys that will be capable of running 8's very soon.

Yup, I was there as well. You can read about my experience here. I actually got to ride in it; the thing is a beast. It's definitely a 10 second car with a good launch. :biggrin: If I had to guess, it's probably putting around 700 hp to the wheels.

BTW, I just got back from the Summerlin meet and got to see both twin turbo Vipers; one from Midnight Mayham that did the 9 sec 1/4 and another new body style twin turbo Viper. Those things looked incredible.
