10% Ethanol gas

I stopped at Costco gas station today and asked the attendant about 10% ethanol label on the gas pump. He indicated that CA law, after Jan 2011, requires every gas station ( including Chevron, Shell and etc...) to have 10% ethanol in their gas after Jan 2011. It is good for the environment

Does it hurt our engines?
