So im lookin at the black engine cover that holds the roof when you remove it underneath the glass hatch, this is for a 04 t top. Its held on by four bolts, and there are wires going into it, 2 i think. are the wires just to let you know if it isnt fastened properly, obvious i'll find out if i take it off, but will diconnecting that give me any codes or flashing lights. Any reason not to take it off aside from a little more engine noise, plus the awesome look of being able to see the engine right through the glass...
