04 Silver/Black JH4NA21694T000115 nicest in country??

Nice i love the interior, the pics dont do it justice. I will have an 02+ one day, and I will always keep my 1992.

but silver is bad ass looking

That is a nice one - I'd like to have it - but the price is high. I mean you can justify it a little but not 60k. It won't sell for that imho. We probably will never know what it sells for unless a primer buys it. It's like the 05 white/tan for 75k - hopeful, very hopeful in this economy. We are in a major league economic slump and we are no where near being out of it. Toys are selling cheap - period - I don't care whose they are or what they are. That's just the facts. I keep going back to a good buddy of mine here in Atlanta - bought an 04 with 23k on it and it had a new clutch for mid 40's. Yep, that's right; but those deals come along once in a lifetime perhaps but from there to 60k is a "fer piece" as they say.

$59k asking price is a great starting point, I think.

Dude, 1500+ posts and 99% of them say this, I respect your opinions and posts but come on....

Tim is right. I missed buying that car (if it is the same one) right here in San Pedro, CA. One lady owner from new and in excellent condition. I am actively looking and have come across one more 04 silver/black one owner leased/purchased, 28k miles, good condition, went to norcal for $46k. Another 03 red/black 2 owners, 32k miles went for $45k. People who already own a 02+ are usually those who find sub-$50k prices ridiculous and for obvious reasons. But I must admit, recent weeks have seen a frenzy of sellers who are trying to hype the market for these newer cars.

My 1500 posts are not all about the price of NSXs - so give me a break.

For those of you that have been around it's a rehash - not everyone has been here that long. I qualify it but what's your advice - you got that 60k in your hand ready to pay out? Didn't think so or have you already a few years ago and now you see your investment may be dropping a bit - hey everyones have.....what can we do. Other than my referrence to my buddy which I agree I over use and it is surely not the norm. I've seen other folks buying cars like an 02 with low miles for around that money maybe a little less - good for them.

Point is that our NSXs due to this economy are not as valuable as they were - cars are worth what someone will pay and my advice is cheap for a reason....

It's easy to establish what you can sell a car for - try and sell and ask what you want and take what you can get....pretty simple.

Check out the prices great cars are going for at the recent auctions.....it's a bad time to sell any collector cars unless you have two people bidding:smile:
Great time to be buying though!

Geez Ray, you've got the two cars I'd like to have! You've got the 997.2- how do you like it? I can't imagine having both! Now tell me - the PDK is that different than a straight automatic or is that the new automaitc? I should know this I read Excellence every darned month and am still a PCA member. I think PDK is the new automatic - they don't make 3 trannys do they?

Tim, this is only my 2nd P-car...bought 1 owner low mileage '04 C4S and discovered the Porsche Drivers Education sessions.....moved up to the C2S, with the PDK (you will never go back to a 6-speed after this:biggrin:) and sport chrono, is really fast. Leaving tonight for Putnam Park for a couple of days with the C2S.....hope to keep my NSX for many years. I have only tracked my NSX once at Mid Ohio and once at Putnam, and wanted to compare to the C4S...just as fast and handles great, but just feel more comfortable with the P-car on the track.
Regards, Ray

for obvious reasons

My advice is that if you find an 02+ for <50K then buy it. Looks like those priced that way go fast, for "obvious reasons" [/QUOTE]

Certain colors have always tended to bring a premium, like white, many are looking for the Type R look but there are not many out there. Used to be that the early Sebring Silvers would bring a premium, I know because I searched for one for a long time before I found a great deal on my 04 Silverstone. Did I pay less than $50K for my 04, no, is the car worth less now, yes, do I enjoy my car every day, yes. Sometimes emotions run strong, and what big auctions like Barret Jackson count on. So obviously certain off the cuff remarks can illicit a response.

You will find some owners looking to part with their cars due to hard times economically or ignorance or other. These deals allow a buyer to get a great deal and if I was in the market now I would be all over some of the deals out there.

Be patient for the color combo you want and when you find a smoking deal jump on it ASAP, As the above posts say there have been some great deals, just keep your eye open for them.

Rolleyes once, I can understand, but twice ?

Sir, I have been an NSX owner since 1994 and have bought a few; thank you very much for your adivice but I am after an 04-05 for $42K-$50K and will let you know when I buy it. At that point I can join the fraternity and express shock at anything below $60K.

Well are you thinking you may have to take high miles to get one for that price? Or do you think that is market price?

I have to say I appreciate your determination. I believe finding an 05 for below 50k might just be a little hopeful cause I haven't seen any with high miles. I hope you find what your looking for. Good luck and keep us posted.
