02 tail light

Thinking of updating my rear light, just confirm the parts in the picture below are the only parts I need for 02 rear light update?

You need part number 3, 10, 6, 12, 4, 40

Everthing else you can use from your old taillights.

Definitely need those gaskets. You may want to get a new taillight harness if your NSX is only having one brake bulb perside as oppose to the Japanese who have two on each.

You mean 6,12,4,40?
About the bulbs, thought we do have 2 each side(?) both illuminate when light switched on. But only 1 illuminate when brake depress.
Did you replace the harness?

no need to replace the wire harness, use the old one.

are you buying all the parts in the drawing ?? no need to, some parts can be reused such as the bezel #5, 11, 29, and obviously the the bolts #37

for the gaskets, somepeople also replace the round gaskets #30

last, for a complete 02, you need the center taillamp.

Did occurred to me to skip 5,11,29 but at the time of asking the quote I wasn't sure so I've just went ahead.
I also made sure all gasket was included and the center taillamp(no.38 in the picture)

Whats the difference in centers? My center is perfect.

IsR has a 92 so his center should have the "ACURA" text, 02 has the "A" badge, or "H" (i have 02 NSX-R badge red filled)

6,12,4,40 are the gaskets.

Does your NSX have two reverse light or just one? Mine was originally one (Euro spec). I had two bulbs each side originally. One for night lamp and one for brake. The Japanese one has three bulbs of which two of them have double filaments for both night lamp and brake (perside). What I did was to modify the harness to include a third small bulb close to the reverse light. I did this so I could cover the additional hole so moisture don't get in. Better to get the original harness as some aftermarket ones can melt quickly.
