02 conversion...

almost done with the conversion. most of the parts are from downforce... thanks to pete and sam. nsxman help me out with my door. i like the skirt but theres a lot of work involve. going to paint booth this friday. what you alll think, black top or not.... thanks for advice

BTW hows the fitment on those DF sides?

the skirt does have a good quality however, you/shop will have to modify it to fit perfectly... I was going to show this to peter(downforce) when done but i move to florida. I worked on the skirt my self... I added the cannard on the front. Matched it with the door jambs. I made custom brackets them also. I made a mold from the quarter panel and added it to the skirt. the whole process took me a week each(i gotta make mula:biggrin: ) I also made the vent at the back smaller so you wont see any hole looking sideway. It took me a while to get them where i want it to be but it was all worth the patience. I will take some more pics tomorrow and post it so you will have an idea of my process. I made it as if it was a factory oprtion.
 
so are you turbo? or Sced?

I was trying to get your turbo setup before but didnt have enough money... I went with the BBSC set up cause I saw that it does have a lot of potential to like Xracer's NSX. I'm upgrading the pulley to 12 PSI soon. I'm not expecting a lot but it should be somewhere just around or low 5 hundred...

ah iRaq, i'm due to go back in April, might end up going to aFghanistan instead. Also thinking of going back to the Corps, full time, the air guard is just too cake.

Anyways back on topic, nsx4jack , the car looks great. I too decided to the 02 conversion. A utility truck backed into my car and tore my front bumper. That should be getting ordered today. I still have to purchase the new headlights, that might take a while, since i'm short of funds right now.

Might as well get it started though, since insurance is paying for part of the conversion in a way. As for the hood, i'll take one of my hoods and modify that to fit the new headlights when I get them. I'll probably modify the cf hood, and sell my oem along with the popup headlights.

Quick question for those that have done the conversion. Will the popup lights clear the new bumper? It will be several weeks before I can order the new headlights.

it will clear your bumper perfectly but it wont clear the 02 headlights. There will be a large gap rear of the headlights. you can probably customize your old hood to match your set up. i was gonna do this to my old hood as a spare.
