US Airways flight down in New York's Hudson River

Re: Nothing like some gray hair in the cockpit So outdated, in fact, they changed it:biggrin: Its now 65. That guy is clearly a badass, sadly many airline pilots in their later years aren't exactly what you'd call super sharp.

Stuntman finishes 2nd in the Grand Am Koni Challenge race at New Jersey

Sorry to see the Z4M Coupe was totalled at the VIR race. Looks like a pretty horrific crash:eek: , glad to hear the driver (not stuntman) is ok.

A crazy saturday night with my NSX

How about a bonus lesson to all the others learned here? You need a lot more than $10k in liability coverage. And when I say a lot, I mean like 50x more. Good luck with the repairs:smile:

Asking for advice and then ignoring it is clearly your best path to success. Good luck!

    Any M Z4 coupe fans?

http://bimmer.roadfly.com/bmw/forums/e46m3/2973509-1.html Theres a little info on the early s54 problems. Cliff notes; only Oct '01 - Feb '02 production s54's were affected. Connecting rod bearings and oil pump replacement along with computer reprogramming were part of the campaign but theres...

    Any M Z4 coupe fans?

I'm a little confused by what you're saying. Are you referring to my car, an e86 M Coupe, which is what we're discussing in this thread or just specifically the early production e46 M3s? I can assure you that my car redlines at 8000 rpm.

    Any M Z4 coupe fans?

My car was built in '07 so wasn't subject to the bearing recall. I believe that covered only '01-03 production S54s.

Yeah, he said they were building a new store. I actually like the small dealers, but I can understand why their days are numbered. A little Top Gear perspective on the Zed 4M. This is the roady but still, you get the idea. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie"...

    Any M Z4 coupe fans?

Mark O., he did a very good job having everything ready for me when I flew in. I'm sure he was happy he took my initial call, all of about a 5 minute negotiation to sell the car. It doesn't get much easier than that in car sales:biggrin:

    Any M Z4 coupe fans?

I just picked up my Z4M Coupe this past june, in NJ in fact. I debated between this car and an e46 M3 to replace my FD. I test drove both on back to back days and was convinced. The coupe feels so much more like a sports car, much lower, tighter, great view out over the long hood. The...

Coming up to visit Napa Valley...

On your list of definites should be Mumm's. The outside patio overlooks the vineyard and is a beautiful spot to sit and have a flight of bubbly. They also have a really nice Ansel Adams collection. The tour there was one of the better ones we've been on as well. Sterling is also an amazing...

    Ticketmaster is a Joke

I always buy tickets from the box office at the venue in order to avoid Ticketmaster raping. Of course this tends to be for smaller shows. For the big acts that sell out quickly you just have to bend over and take it:mad:

Please recommend movies with great/clever twist...

Spotted Ferrari CA in the cargo hold of a 747

I'm pretty sure the price is supposed to be higher than the 430 but less than the 430's successor at which point it becomes the 'entry' level Ferrari. At least thats what I've read everywhere.

    Does NE1 have a Gen2 MDX?

We've had our 07 MDX for almost a year now and ~7k total miles. Its my wife's primary driver and she(we) love it. I just looked at the computer last week and was averaging ~19mpg with a mix of mostly city driving. As far as the car being slow I couldn't disagree more, 7.1 0 to 60 would best...

    What's Your First Job?

Alright, if we're discounting the paper route thing, my first job was at age 16 bussing tables for $6/hour. It was 'Blackies House of Beef', for you NoVa/ D.C. folks who might be familiar. I worked there until I graduated HS, never once getting a raise or even hearing it mentioned. I saved...
