Buzzing Sound from behind Seat or Engine Compartment

Hello All, I am trying to diagnose a problem noise on my 1998 NSX. At a certain RPM range, usually about 3750 to 4250, there is a distinct buzzing sound that seems to be originating in the engine bay. It is most noticeable from the behind the passenger seat. Has anyone every heard of or had...

    Leather repair/replacement?

Many upholstery shops can either re-dye and recon the leather for you or refer you to someone who does this work. There is also a color match spray on dye that does the job and looks good. Shouldnt cost you more than $100 to have the side bolsters done this way.

Can paintless dent repair fix this?

Hey, I wasn't flaming you or saying that you don't have the experience. How do you propose that he finds a good dent guy himself? I'm just saying that he'd probably have better odds interviewing the dealerships guy's then calling random numbers out of the phone book. Also, for your information...

    Horrible f***ing news for me....

Brian, The dealer would be required to have a reasonable idea of what may have happened, based upon the premise that being in the industry, the dealer should be able to detect some body work. However, most salespeople, managers, etc., are not trained in this and do not know how to detect it...

Can paintless dent repair fix this?

p.s. all the dent guys say that they have lots of experience. Try to take it to your local Acura Dealership and have them do it when they have their other cars done. You might pay a little more, but that way you know you will have an experienced guy working on your car.

    Horrible f***ing news for me....

Brian, If I remember correctly, you had posted about this car prior to you purchasing it and you did know that it had a salvage history. You may have not understood exactly what that may entail, but that still doesn't leave you with any legal recourse. I believe that you have no case, as you...

Can paintless dent repair fix this?

I agree that PDR can remove that dent. However, make sure that you get an expert. Not all PDR guys can do the same work. Find someone with experience in aluminum. I've seen it done well enough that nothing can be seen from the outside.

They are definitely not going to replace them if you broke it in half! Imagine if you crashed your NSX and went to Acura and asked for a new one.

1998 NSX T Spa pearl yellow

I helped Doug in his search for this car and would also like to vouch for him as a person. I also found that he had done his due diligence when searching for his car and was very selective in doing so. If I recall, he had this vehicle inspected by someone well respected on this board before he...

Do Dealers in CA really want to sell a 2003 NSX?

Andymo1972, I believe that the original post was not about a lease, but a straight purchase. I agree that a lease is definitely a profitable transaction for the dealer, but I am talking about a sale of a car at, or below invoice. Many people on this forum will expect to pay low 70's for that...

Do Dealers in CA really want to sell a 2003 NSX?

Unless they already have one burning the floor in the dealership, I doubt they are going to go out of their way to find you one. Especially, at the prices that they have been selling for. If you wanted any of there other models (i.e. profitible, easily attainable), they would be all over you. It...

An Omega Seamaster shoudl run you around $1000, any less any it'd be a good deal. The Rolex explorer is around $3,500. Anything around $3k is a decent deal on that watch.

I forgot about that watch! I am not a big fan of Cartier, but I almost bought the Pasha Chrono myself on impulse in Vegas. Gotta love that skeleton back. Regarding Costco and no warranties, I didn't know that was the case. Anyways, Costco has one of the most liberal return policies of any...

    wristwatch advice

Since you don't seem to have a preference as to brand, maybe a price range would help. You said a "nice" wristwatch; that could mean a lot of things to a lot of people. I agree that the Rolex Daytona in white gold is one of the nicest watches out there, but if you want to avoid Rolex for its...

    Insurance

From what I understand, excessive credit checks only raises your FICO score by 15-20 points. If you are being negatively affected by that increase alone, due to credit checks on the part of the insurance company, you should ask them to look at the details of your credit report as to why you have...

I agree that it may not be policy to check records when renewing, but it did happen to me and I have never had a claim in my life. I also know others who this happened to. Maybe they check every few years or so?
