SOS introduces K Tuner Flash for NC1 NSX Including the Type S (2017-2022)

I don’t have any personal experience with this. Never had a powertrain warranty claim on a modified car. But some tuners are now offering warranties, just in case, like this: https://www.renntechmercedes.com/index.php/products/renntech-rep

    Extended Warranty NC1

Actually, I think I recall something about the model year and mileage being a factor in the price. That might explain some of the price variation. Looking back at my notes, I got the Acura 5 year / 80k mile extended warranty for 5.3k. But it was for a 2019, still under factory warranty, with...

You don’t need to buy from a dealer in your state. I’m in FL and bought the Acura extended warranty from a dealer in another state.

That seems too high. Try calling the phone number above. I can’t imagine prices went up so much in just 2 years.

P0420 code - SOS downpipes & Fabspeed Cat Back exhaust

Here's a free and easy way to determine if your car has a JB4! Download a bluetooth scanner on your phone, turn on the ignition, and look for "JB4" in the list of nearby devices. Mine shows as "JB4 R36" which I guess means revision 3.6. The free iOS app I used is called Wunderfind. I didn't...

Pohanka Acura might be able to give you an answer on the transmission filter - https://goo.gl/maps/X5bduz5HqBVQLZvL9 I think the previous owner of my car got the transmission and clutch fluid changed there. How did the oil report look? Was this your first transmission and clutch fluid change...

SOS introduces K Tuner Flash for NC1 NSX Including the Type S (2017-2022)

I saw the release mentioned on https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2022-acura-nsx-type-s-23/#comment-11925111 and came back to the forum to verify. This is great!

ECU crack? Bigger Turbos? E-Motors upgrade?

When it comes to the implementation technique, how does K Tuner's solution compare to SOS JB4? Is it more like a true flash where the parameters are updated and there's no need to keep a device installed in the car?

No valves on the muffler. Got in touch with the previous owner who clarified.

SOS Downpipes & Fabspeed Cat Back Exhaust Video

Catted downpipes. Everything was installed by the previous owner so I'm not sure about the muffler valves. The noise seems to increase going from Quiet to Sport to Sport+ so maybe the valves are there? Car was in Sport mode while on the driveway and you can hear it go into EV mode for a bit...

P0420 code - SOS downpipes & Fabspeed Cat Back exhaust

For what it's worth, my issue seems to have resolved itself. Codes last appeared back in January. No codes over the last 5 months, 472 miles, and a few tanks of gas. Maybe temperature is a factor? I guess I'll find out next winter. Here's a video of what it sounds like:

P0420 code - SOS downpipes & Fabspeed Cat Back exhaust

If you're willing to remove the downpipes and ship them back to SOS, that's probably the best bet. If you go that route, I would make sure to stay away from octane boosters. I'm talking with someone else who plans to do a setup with no cats at all. Depending how well it works and if the codes...

P0420 code - SOS downpipes & Fabspeed Cat Back exhaust

SOS said the cats can get clogged from octane boosters or leaded fuel and it could affect efficiency/performance. It's possible octane boosters were used by the previous owner, but they offered to replace the cats for a reasonable price. Only thing is it's contingent on inspection. So I'd...

md23vtec, yep, this is the orange 2019 from Karen Radley :) It doesn't have the SOS JB4 as far as I'm aware, but a friend recommended the Autel Autolink AL319. I got it for $32 and successfully cleared the codes. In addition to P0420, it showed P0430 as well. Both related to cats. drmanny3...

New owner 2019 NSX - service visit tips

Thanks! They were able to sort out the noise from the steering wheel / airbag and flush the brake fluid while I waited. The tech pointed out some other rattles from the instrument cluster cover area. Perhaps the same issue you mention. Though it requires extra time to fix, so I have to book...

@Stkpikr this is great info. Would you be able to PM me the contact info for where you purchased? I'm new here and don't seem to have the ability to PM you. I just got a 2019 with a few months left on the bumper-to-bumper factory warranty. My local dealer is a bit fuzzy on the details and...

New owner 2019 NSX - service visit tips

Hi, I just got a 2019 NSX with about 26,000 miles from out of state. First time Acura owner and first time NSX owner. This week I'm taking it to my local dealer for a brake fluid flush. Any recommendations or suggestions? Everything else seems to be fine based on the maintenance schedules...
