The Trofeo R's are a subset of P Zeros. On Tirerack if you do a search by 2022 NSX Type S they list these as OEM. However, they don't have the HO mark on them so maybe these are a McLaren or Lambo version and not the true bespoke tire for the Type S.
When I purchased my 2017 NSX late Dec last year it had 9.7K miles on it. The oil change indicator said it had 80 percent life remaining. By June 28 of this year with 15.8K miles on the car the indicator was down to 5 percent and started warning me at 10 or 15 percent oil life left. So I had the...
Yes, it's trial and error to get the fit you want and you can play with both sides accordingly (raising one side and lowering the other) to get the alignment you want.
You can actually do the adjustment yourself very easily. If you open the hood you will see 2 black rubber hood bumpers on the underside of the hood. These screw in or out and determine the resting position of your hood when closed. So you would want to screw the hood bumper in a little bit on...
Thank you for the suggestion Dice. I'm going to give it a try. Im going to Irwindale Drag Strip on Sept 25 for an Elite Tuner car show and they have drag racing that day. The problem I have had the last few times I went was too much downtime waiting in staging lanes due to either cars blowing...
I'm going to get a dash cam like yours soon. Los Angeles is full of crazy drivers that don't pay any attention at all. The move the Mini driver pulled is something I experience on a daily basis, especially at stop signs in my neighborhood. It seems like driving standards have declined since Covid.
It does take an hour and a half for the car wash I use to wash my car. The same guy does all my cars. He opens the front hood and rear deck lid and cleans everything inside and out. My car has been ceramic coated and that does help. I'll try to coordinate dropping off the car with doing...
I usually get mine hand washed once a week; sometimes more. My car is black and so the dust that accumulates by the rear bumber and tailights is pretty visible to me. After each drive i'll wipe the car down and park it in my garage and I have a car cover i got from Science of Speed that I cover...
Thanks Droptopp: Well we'll have to see what actually comes out when the cars are released. I've already contacted Payam at Berger and Science of Speed and offered to let them use my Type S, if I get one, for developing a JB4 and whatever else and received positive feedback. My dealer hasn't got...
Yes, I definitely agree that Acura is under-stating the true horsepower of the Type-S. Porsche tends to do this with the 911 Turbo and Turbo S. They have tended to be very conservative with their quoted 0 to 60 mph and quarter-mile times and correspondingly lowball the hp figures.
There's a...
chillznax: The black NSX in the Dragtimes video sounds like it has downpipes or an aftermarket exhaust. And the way it pulled away from the Huracan even from a roll makes me think it's running a JB4. I initially wondered since they made it seems like the NSX was a rental from an exotic car...
Thank you for the info. Definitely looks like a high quality set up based on your footage and worth the money for the expensive mount. Have you been happy with the Blackvue 900?
chillznax: Here are a couple of fun to watch links featuring the NC1:

The JB4 can add up to 100 extra hp to your ICE and that helps a lot with the...
chillznaz: I do understand your point of view on the advertised hp on the S Type. Acura has apparently made a lot of improvements to the car and I suspect their hp figures are conservative. But even if they aren't, I do believe the car will be quicker than the NC1's by a margin greater than the...
On Friday I went back to Famoso Drag Strip near Bakersfield for a test and tune session to run my 2017 NSX through the full quarter mile. We were also running my GMC Syclone and Lexus RCF Track Edition.
For those interested what performance you can attain with the Map 2 (93 octane) setting of...
Do you think a possible scenario is that the top 30 dealers get 2 allocations plus 1 unallocated, the next 40 dealers get 1 allocation plus 1 unallocated, the remaining 65 dealers who have a Master NSX Tech get 1 unallocated and then the remaining 64 units get put into some sort of lottery?
The S Type is the second most expensive car I've ordered (hopefully I get it as it isn't an allocated order) and the most expensive in 20 years. The Ferrari I got back then cost slightly more than the S Type (of course way more if you were to put it in today's dollars). I traded in my 2000 NSX...
Yes, I hate to see the ADMS. I read this article yesterday:
https://tiremeetsroad.com/2021/08/14/how-much-markup-are-dealerships-adding-to-the-acura-nsx-type-s/
Weakestlink: Glad they would do it over the phone for you:) Makes it much easier. And no worries on the color combo. I actually chose the full leather red which makes the seats all red other than the shell but which still gets the rest of the car's interior in red and black.
