I avoided shimming the rotor because of the way that it centers only the hub I didn’t want to mess with that. It was a lot easier to just grind bracket, imo since it was just for backing plate clearance. You can avoid it probably by just cutting the backing plate but I didn’t want to do all that...
I’m going to be 100% honest driving it before and after I couldn’t really feel a difference at all, won’t be taking it to the track again till next year so we will see…but the new tires are probably going to make the biggest difference
It’s amazing the difference those bumper beams make. You almost can’t believe it until you pick them up before and after. The bumpers definitely go back on a hell of a lot easier than they come off. 🤣
I had the same issue you did with the light being inverted when I did mine, the dash needs to be constantly grounded to keep the light off, but the modulator only grounds the signal wire when it blinks the light so that’s why it’s working that way with the relay you have now. I ended up getting...
Interesting how you ended up doing the white plugs to jump the abs computer plugs. I jumped the wheel speed sensor signals to the solenoid signal outputs of the matching wheel so most of my wires are jumping from one plug to the other, but that looks so much more tidy, I gotta say.
That looks nice and tidy, I need to get one of those red boots to cover my positive terminal like you did.
I ended up splitting the terminal open on mine but it was not as corroded as yours was.
First off thanks to everyone who commented for the words of encouragement I’m glad that I can share this build with people who can appreciate it!
The exhaust came in today and as I expected there was no way I was leaving work today without installing it even having to go home during lunch to...
Yeah me too…also helps that since the car is silver depending how the light and shadows are it always looks like the panels are not the exact same color anyway 😆
But the color and even the metallic flake are very very very close.
I ended up buying a used pride type r wing locally for a good price so I threw that on, and then decided on replacing the rear valance because of a scratch that was on it since I bought the car, and wanting to change it up with a carbon accent in the rear to match the new wing. And of course...
Been awhile since I’ve updated here and there’s been a few more things I’ve done to the car since April. I finally got around to getting my wheels redone/fixed, they were originally fully polished and after years of not really having been kept up on(I bought the car with them in pretty much this...
I recently took my rear bumper apart and from what it looks like that’s the corner that at least on mine had a plastic pop in rivet to hold it on that corner, maybe yours broke and that’s why it’s popping out the side like that, or the Philips screw on the top came loose somehow
I mic’d my crank and had my machine shop hone it out on his rod hone machine, but a flex hone works perfectly fine for that too, just gotta make sure you don’t go too much
I just screwed down the bare wire and it’s been fine for me, getting both the positive cable ends into the reducer was a tight fit from what I remember
The terminals are JL Audio XD-BTS

And I used some 1/0 female to 4awg male reducers from Amazon to make it work since those terminals only have a single 4awg...
I ended up just removing the entire ground cable when I addressed my terminals on my car and just completely remaking it with 1/0 JL audio cable I had laying around, it ended up being easier than trying to mess around with the existing cable since my terminal was completely stretched out. For...
